Creating driveways

Guide
1

Prepare the area where Terram GroundSure is intended to be used. Remove any stones, weeds and roots, in some circumstances a weed killer may be needed. Smooth over and level the intended driveway area with a rake.

Lay the Terram GroundSure ensuring the area covered is greater than the planned area. For larger areas, ensure there is an overlap of approximately 500mm (20”). Pin down and secure all overlapped edges.

Guide
2

Cover the Terram GroundSure with an even layer of MOT Type 1 sub-base and rake level. Thourghly compact the subbase using a vibrating plate to a minimum thickness of 75mm.

Guide
3

Lay a second layer of Terram GroundSure over the prepared sub-base ensuring the area covered is greater than the planned area. For larger areas, ensure there is an overlap of approximately 500mm (20"). Pin down and secure all overlapped edges.

These combined layers of Terram GroundSure provide sub-base material separation and ground stabilisation.

Guide
4

Cover the second layer of Terram GroundSure with an even 50mm layer of slightly damp, course sharp sand and level, initially with a rake and finally with a spirit level.

Guide
5

Starting in one corner, place the blocks on the course sharp sand. Level by tapping lightly with a rubber mallet.

Guide
6

Work outwards from the corner creating the desired pattern ensuring each block is level before moving on to the next.

Guide
7
